Felt is a natural material and relaxes slightly to your head over time. That's normal, and part of what makes it comfortable.
Can I put my sauna hat in the washing machine?
No. Agitation and warm water can shrink or misshape wool felt. Hand rinse it in cool water instead.
How often should I wash it?
Rinse it every few sessions, or whenever it feels sweaty. Let it air after every session.
Should I wet my hat before the sauna?
You can. Dampen it with cool water and wring it out for an extra cooling feel. It works dry too.
How should I store it?
Hang it somewhere airy and dry. Avoid sealing it in a bag while damp.
My hat has relaxed a little. Is that normal?
Yes. Felt softens and shapes to your head with wear. Reshape it while damp to keep it looking its best.
